How does this work?
Every day World of Warcraft players run through thousands of dungeons and defeat hundreds of raid bosses. This information is most often found on sites like WarcraftLogs or Raider.io or even Blizzard's website.
Besides that, what player hasn't already found themselves in a guild where the number of connected players collapses over the months until it becomes a zombie guild?
I thought we could take advantage of data from these sites to determine which guilds are the most active across all regions/servers. The principle is simple:
Each dungeon or raid run performed with at least 2 members from the same guild will allow me to award activity points to that guild.
A full guild mythic plus (M+) run and the guild will be awarded 50 points (i.e. 10 points per participating member).
A raid run with 7 members from the 'lorem' guild and 3 from the 'Ipsum' guild, and Lorem will be awarded 70 points while Ipsum will be awarded 30 points.
For now, the ranking works on a rolling 30-day period but I plan to add many features in the future to see if a guild's activity is increasing or decreasing.
